I spent several hours looking for a book dedicated to studio portraiture (with attention on strobes), however this was the sole one I found. All alternative books used hot lights and were examples from the 70's. Yuk. This book is awesome! Mark begins by covering the various equipment employed in the studio and on location together with differing types of strobes, flashes and attachments for focusing or diffusing lightweight. He writes concerning posing folks and provides tips for each a part of the body from head to toe with photo examples. He offers flattering poses and light-weight set-ups to camoflauge undesireable body flaws. He covers differing types of lighting setups and describes the way to acheive them. i'd have liked a lot of detail during this space, and probably some diagrams of the setups used. He covers posing kids, adults and families. He explains the way to use existing lighting indoors and out on location. the bulk of the book is for indoor studios with strobe lighting. it had been specifically what i used to be searching for and that i am very happy.
